Company history...
Bells Domestics was originally called 'Sound Vision' and was founded in 1960 by Stanley Bell, trading in sales, repairs, servicing and rentals of televisions and gramophones.
In 1982, Philip Bell Jr. joined the company as the business expanded into the white goods sector. Philip was trained on washing machines, cookers and twin tubs and also became an expert refrigeration engineer.
As time progressed, the white goods side of our business flourished and we eventually took on more staff and opened up a factory.
The next stage of development was in 2000 when we opened a showroom for new/graded appliances at 13 Cowper Road LS9 7AP.
Later, in 2009, we purchased the adjacent property to 13 Cowper Road which is a 25,000 sq ft building! Development work to convert the new building began immediately and in 2011 we hailed the new opening of our Superstore. This building is now the head office of Bells Domestics, incorporating one of the largest showrooms in Yorkshire, as well as our call centre, repair workshop and spares department.
Today, Bells Domestics is a hub of the community, providing a reliable and trustworthy service for many people and despite our growth, we have maintained the same level of high quality service throughout the years and endeavour to keep on providing the very best for all our customers in sales, spares and repairs of free standing and built in domestic appliances.
